 We are a regional distribution and consulting organization with particular expertise in computer communication and messaging information systems with a strong bias to the Internet medium with offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. Our principal clients are regional VAR resellers.

 Initially the group started as a specialist in portable computers – the first in Asia – and quickly earned a reputation for exceptional service and support among not just regional firms, but business executives from around the globe passing through Hong Kong. This soon led to shifting the core business to network system services as these same international clients then set up operations in the region, and returned to PACIFIC RIM for local and wide area network capabilities on which these multinational businesses could depend.

 By 1987, this operation had become the leading turnkey Local Area Network systems provider in Hong Kong, with a steadily increasing presence in other regional locations as it supported multinational client branches throughout Asia, and often also extended to delivering such support to their head offices in Europe and the US.

 Inevitably PACIFIC RIM attracted the attention of leading communication/messaging system producers because of the group’s outstanding technical capabilities, its reputation for providing reliable support to business clients and its grasp of product and market trends in the region. As result, it was invited to become regional distributor for many of the product lines on which it had now accumulated an extensive in depth understanding through installation and support experience.

 This new activity was spun off in 1992 into a separate company with separate offices and differing management in both Hong Kong and Singapore, to ensure credible unbiased support to its VAR resellers and sub-regional distributors. This separation has become well-known in the Asian markets in which PACIFIC RIM operates, and – rather unique in these markets where such distinctions are rarely observed – the group has achieved a solid reputation for not competing with it’s distribution clients. Furthermore, since 1998 operations have been virtually concentrated on the distribution of messaging products, although long-time systems clients are still supported, most often through managing/supervising their reseller suppliers. Offices today are located in Hong Kong and Singapore.
